Passed away peacefully surrounded by family December 4, 2008. Preceded in death by grandson, Brandon Cheney; & sister, Georgia Holmgren. Survived by loving wife, of 55 yrs., Leona “Lea”; children, Donald (Laurie), Cheryl (Jim Mason) Alden, Bill Cheney & Leslie (J.C.) Cedar; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Preston Cheney; & many nieces and nephews. Employed by the University of St. Thomas for 36 years Tom was a kind & gentle man & will be greatly missed. Special thanks to MN Oncology of Woodbury & HealthEast Hospice. AUGUSTINE, 3rd Street North @ 4th Avenue in South St. Paul. Gathering of Friends from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday & also 1 hour prior to the Mass all at the funeral home.
