John A. FunariNovember 10, 1919 - May 27, 2008 Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather & Volunteer
Age 88 of South St. Paul. John (PaPa) lived a fulfilled life. Born to Romanian immigrants, John was born, raised, fathered a family, lived and passed on the same piece of South St. Paul soil his parents originally settled on. John was proud to be an Enlisted Army Air Corps Crew Chief during WWII, logging over 60 combat missions to protect and defend his country. He will be remembered by his wife of 62 years, his loving family, and his extended family of caring friends. John was a true family man, passing on the virtues he held so dear. After retirement, John developed a passion for volunteerism. He spent most of his time providing food for and serving those less fortunate. His commitment to Neighbors Food Shelf will be dearly missed. To his many friends and to all those he touched, he wanted his family to thank you for your kindness. God Bless All Those Who Knew Him.
