Born in Hibbing MN, he died at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. Preceded in death by his parents, Julius & Alvina (nee Christianson) Johnson; and brothers, Alvin, Robert and Gene. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla "Sally"; daughter, Darcy (Greg) Luppino; son, Tedd; grandchildren, Nicole Luppino and Ethan Johnson; and sister, Maxine Shepherd. LeRoy graduated from Hibbing High School in 1943; served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1943 to 1946; afterward, he worked for Gamble-Robinson, Standard Brands, moved to Minneapolis in 1963 where he worked for Sorem Brokerage as a food broker; and married Priscilla "Sally" Fuller of Grand Rapids, MN. He loved flying his own seaplane, fishing and hunting in Minnesota and Canada.
