John D. Googins Ph.D.November 22, 1956 - January 16, 2006 Age 49, of Eagan.
Passed away as he lived, courageously and with dignity, in the presence of his loving wife and children. Survived by the love of his life for 23 years, Kris; children, Lindsey and Ryan; parents, Duane Googins and Janis Bjordahl; brother, Matthew; sister, Marsha; and countless other family & friends. John earned both his Master's and Doctorate in Education from the U of M; beginning his career in education as a teacher with the Eden Prairie School District; then an elementary school principal with the Minneapolis School District; to most recently, a ‘Principal on Special Assignment' with the Superintendent.
