Passed away March 4, 2008. Preceded in death by his parents, Hjalmar & Millie Hedlund, a brother and 4 sisters. Survived by his wife of 56 years, LaVonne; daughter, Cynthia (Dennis) Johnson; son, Craig (Mary); grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson, Michael (Karen) Hedlund, Jaymie (Jeff) Dawson, Jennifer (Matthew) Gryskiewicz and Kathleen Hedlund; great grandchildren, Cody and Corly; and sisters, Eunice Taney and Shirley Ann (Richard) Toensing. Morrie was a Savings & Loan Executive for 30 years; an Investment Banker with Commercial State for 15 years; and active in St. Paul civic affairs, 1953 St. Paul Open Golf Tournament General Chairman and Director of the 1954 PGA Golf Tournament.
