Formerly of Taylors Falls, MN. Died Dec. 31 after a year-long battle with leukemia. A native of West St. Paul, graduate of Sibley High School and Navy veteran, Johnny helped many people as president of Farmers State/Town and Country Bank in Almelund and Taylors Falls, where he made so many friends. He loved his job, his family, being outdoors in his deer stand or fishing with the grandkids, who called him Papa. John is survived by his wife, Kaye; daughters Aimee Grossmann, Heber City, Utah, and Leslie (Randy) Grossmann Brown, Ballston Spa, N.Y.; son Chuck (Colleen) Grossmann, Cottage Grove, and their children Ally and Ryan; mother, Marion Grossmann, St. Paul; sister Mary Ann (Tom) Grossmann Thomsen, St. Paul; brother Kurt (Judy) Grossmann, Faribault; niece Tami (Rob) Chemberlin, Dundas; nephews Scott (Melissa) Grossmann, Inver Grove Heights, and James Grossmann, Hastings, special nephew A.J., Luck, WI, and lifelong friend Ron Chandler, Scandia. We know John is fishing now on a celestial lake with his late father, Vern Grossmann.
