Husband, Father, Grandfather - Age 90

Died on September 4, 2005. Preceded in death by parents Arlie and Jennie Parks; sons, Craig and Bruce; and sisters, Marion L. Parks and Hazel Ohrt. Survived by loving wife of 65 years, Barbara J; children, Linda, Rodger, Kathleen, and daughter-in- law, Gail Parks; grandchildren, Scott, Lorie, Shante Carter, Alena Lavastida, and son-in-law, Luis Lavastida; and many nieces and nephews; special friends, Cecelia Sanchez, Orville Larson, Cedric Nelson, Scott Nowak, Dan Rivera, Herb and Faye Sloane, and many others.

Lee was a graduate of Central High School before serving in WWII. He then worked for Swift and Co. and then the downtown Saint Paul post-office before opening Ramsey County Detox Center and later the Mounds Park Hospital's treatment center while involved with La Casa's treatment program. Lee was the treasurer and mentor of Juels Fairbanks Treatment Center and very active with the DFL and West-Side Citizen's Org. He was also a member of the Downtown Alano Society for 58 years.

Funeral Information

Funeral Service Friday, 11AM, AUGUSTANA LUTH-ERAN CHURCH, 1400 S Robert St. Visitations will be held Thursday, 4-8PM, WEST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 S Robert S. @ Arion, and again 1 hr prior to the service at the church.
