Joseph A. Giacomini

January 19, 1944 - December 17, 2003

Age 59 Years - Of Eagan

Manager of Minneapolis/St. Paul Bulk Mail Center, passed away Dec. 17, 2003 after a long struggle with Amyloidosis and Polymyocitis. A native of Duluth, MN. He started his postal career as support manager of the BMC in 1974. He has held several positions in including Omaha, NE and Mankato, MN. He returned in 1992 as plant manager of the BMC until his passing. Between 1995 and 2001, he was a player and coach for the U.S. Postal Service hockey team. Joe also served in the United States Navy for 30 years and achieved the rank of captain in the Navy Reserve. Giacomini is survived by his wife, Terry; and three children: Jeffery (Kim), Robert (Tina), and Jennifer; grandchildren: Joey, Jacob and Madison Giacomini; mother, Arminia & husband John Emanuel; sister, Dolly and husband Jim Moy; and many other family and friends. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Information

Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10AM at MARY MOTHER OF THE CHURCH, 3333 Cliff Road East Burnsville. Visitations Sunday Decemeber 21, from 4- 8PM at J.S. KLECATSKY & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1580 Century Point, Eagan. And Monday 1 hour prior to service at the church. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery following lunch at church.
