Peacefully passed away on January 13, 2010. Preceded in death by his parents and 9 brothers. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Eleanor “Ele”; children, Terri Grimmer, Judy (Jeff) Lippka, Jeff (Carol) Grimmer, Janet Monahan, Jim (Tiffany) Grimmer, Jim (Sharon) Koslowski, Jeanne (Denny) O’Brien, Nancy (Rick) Kochendorfer, Mike (Sandy) Koslowski; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle (Sylvia) Grimmer. Russell served in World War II as a fighter pilot, flying 92 missions. He was a salesman for much of his career, working for F.C. Hayer Company selling RCA products. He was an avid gardener and loved bowling, golf, and softball. Most of all he loved spending time with his extended family. Special thanks for the excellent care given by Twin Cities Hospice and the staff at the Minnesota Veteran’s Home. Funeral InformationFuneral Service 11 AM Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at JOSEPH S. KLECATSKY & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1580 Century Point (Yankee Doodle Road at Coachman Road) in Eagan. Visitation from 5 to 7 PM Monday and also 1 hour prior to the Service at the funeral home.
